I haven’t had a wine cooler since the 80’s when Bartles & Jaymes were at their heyday. I didn’t even realize they were still being made until I came across a display case stacked with beautiful bluebottles of the Seagram’s wine coolers at the supermarket which I bought for a dollar each along with some black seedless grapes and a quart of vanilla ice cream and made an adult ice cream soda. I froze the grapes for about 15 minutes before muddling about 10 of them in the bottom of a big glass.
Here’s my recipe for a boozy, beautiful blue ice cream soda for adults made with frozen grapes muddled with wine coolers and ice cream.
Servings: 1 serving
Equipment
- muddler
A boozy ice cream float made with muddled grapes and a Seagram's wine cooler.
Ingredients
- 10 purple seedless grapes, frozen plus more for serving
- 1 12-ounce bottle Seagram's Calypso Wine Cooler
- 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Muddle the grapes in the bottom of an 18 ounce glass. Pour in the wine cooler and plop in the ice cream. Garnish with a small sprig of grapes before serving.
