After extensive research, I learned the REAL Buddy The Elf breakfast spaghetti recipe in one of the most memorable food moments in the movie, "Elf".
Ingredients
- 8 oz dry spaghetti
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 3.1-oz box Sno-Caps
- 1 large handful about ½ cup pastel mini marshmallows
- Chocolate syrup to taste
- 1 large handful Nestlé Smarties or M&M’s
- 2 chocolate Pop-Tarts or other chocolate toaster pastry
Instructions
- Prepare the spaghetti according to package directions, drain and toss with butter, then pile onto a large plate.
- In this order, top with: Sno-Caps, mini marshmallows, chocolate syrup, Smarties and crushed chocolate Pop-Tarts. Mush together by hand (or with tongs) and shove into your mouth one handful (or forkful) at a time.

Fun Fact!:
Pink M&M’s did not exist when Elf was in production. Instead, the props team used Smarties, colorful chocolate candies that are only available in Canada (where Elf was filmed) and Europe.
